The fluid coming out of this compactor garbage truck is not rain. It is garbage leachate that has
been compacted and pressed and squeezed out of the garbage picked up by this compactor garbage truck.
In the following pages I will provide information to focus on the seriousness of this practice and
how the issue is being allowed to continue.
The above picture was taken in January 2001 and the close-up picture on the bottom was taken on
December 19, 2001. Both pictures were taken ten years after I started trying to stop compactor garbage trucks from continuing
the practice of releaseing garbage leachate on to the streets of the city of Vancouver.
